We are excited that you would like your child to sing with the Vancouver Children's Choir. The Choir is a unique musical, educational and social experience that offers tremendous benefits for children ages 7-17. Artistic Director Rupert Lang is respected for his distinctive teaching skills and has guided the musical development of hundreds of children.
In the Vancouver Children's Choir children are taught to master the basic components of musical literacy - theory, ear training and sight-singing - within the context of our rehearsals.
The training consists of lessons in vocal technique, singing in different languages and styles from Pop, Folk, Jazz, Classical, Gospel, and Gregorian Chant. The choristers take an exam at the end of each semester and are required to study their material at home.
The Vancouver Children's Choir is a tuition-based community choir, and is open for children of all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Please review the "choirs" page for the tuition schedule.
