repertoire

Vancouver Children’s Choir’s repertoire is grounded in the classics such as Gregorian Chant (read in neumes), J. S. Bach, and Benjamin Britten. From this solid foundations the choristers branch out to sing a complete variety of musical styles from every age. Repertoire this season includes R. Murray Schafer’s Threnody and other challenging works.

Singing in the Vancouver Children’s Choir isn’t all about work, though! Often our concerts incorporate choreography, a multitude of languages and musical styles.

Alumni of Vancouver Chamber Choir have gone on to further musical studies or have joined adult choirs in the city. In all cases they have credited their musical beginnings with the years they spent in Vancouver Children’s Choir.
